NATALIE ROSIN – INDIVUAL AND FAMILY LIFE COACH

As your life coach, I will help you focus on what is important so that you may move forward and achieve positive changes in your life. With me, you will find a safe environment and a compassionate friend who will teach you specific skills and techniques to navigate our complex and stressful world. I am available to you on a 24/7 basis (really!) as I understand that situations arise at any given time and how important it is to diffuse a situation before it gets really bad.

I am a certified substance abuse counselor and have a Master’s Degree in Education from New York University. Prior to starting my private practice, I worked as an educator in one of the area’s private schools. As a counselor, I worked at Four Winds Hospital, a leading mental health facility, and Greenburgh Open Door Addiction Recovery Clinic, an alcoholic and drug treatment facility.

I work with children, adolescents and adults, and families affected by:

  • ADD / ADHD / Executive Function
  • Mental Health / Depression
  • Parenting and Family Relationships
  • Divorce / Separation
  • Addiction/Substance Abuse

As a coach, I work closely with my clients to develop an in-depth understanding of their needs, lifestyle and family dynamics. Because behavioral health issues affect the entire family, I work with family members in tandem with the client on setting boundaries and developing positive communication skills.

I have developed strong working relationships with medical professionals and learning specialists in Westchester and New York City. This network provides me with an important resource for assisting my clients with a myriad of solutions. With a client’s approval, I communicate and share my evaluation with their doctors, generating a collaborative approach that has proven effective at managing medicinal regiments and creating the best possible treatment plans.

For many of my younger clients, I work with them and their families on academic issues and pursuits including 504, IEP and other special needs resources and professionals. I have worked with many of the local public and private school systems and their educators in providing my clients and their families with access to additional learning resources and alternative schools or colleges.

When dealing with addiction or other mental health disorders, I work with the client and family members in tandem to provide them with the best avenue to a successful resolution. Educating the entire family is necessary to equip them with the tools needed to overcome denial and other negative coping mechanisms. I teach family members to understand the importance of setting and adhering to boundaries and how to quickly defuse potentially volatile situations. When circumstances require it, I assist clients with placement in outpatient and inpatient clinical and treatment facilities.

In addition to one-on-one sessions, I host group meetings with many of my clients. Group sessions provide a productive compliment to individual sessions and offer clients the opportunity to receive support and encouragement from others talking similar situations. My groups generally range in size from 6 to 10 participants and I encourage everyone to engage and challenge each other in a supportive and safe environment.

The majority of my clients come through referrals by my professional relationships and schools and from my “word-of-mouth” referrals from current and past clients. I invite you to read some of their testimonials on the “Testimonials” page of my website. Please visit the “Presentations” tab on my website.

I have hosted and participated in several public presentations to parents and/or professional on topics dealing with addiction, ADD and metal health disorders. Most recently, I have teamed with a highly renowned Pediatric Neurologist in presenting “i-Disorder (Problematic Screen Time)” at several forums. I have also collaborated with this doctor on a section of his most recent soon to be published book dealing with digital technology and internet addiction.
